This project began in 2007 in a city surrounded by mountains, Monterrey, Mexico; when Luis Siller and Alex Galvan decided to fuse minds and shape sounds of nature into an electronic sound, hence they gave themselves the name of bioniq (They explain the word as being formed from ""biology" + "electronics"). Bionics (also known as biomimetics, biognosis, biomimicry, or bionical creativity engineering) is the application of biological methods and systems found in nature to the study and design of engineering systems and modern technology. They believe that great inspiration is the mix of nature and industrial sounds that surround and provide the essence of the world, therefore, they consider Nature their muse, so they spend lots of their time listening and embracing that mix of sounds of nature and industry.
This duo was formerly known as Bad Apples (2004) whose music used to mix the subtle alto sounds of jazz with funky electronic beats, making their music the perfect combination of warm charm and expressive notes. As time went by they evolved in to their own style (some have call it a Experimental Jams meet Electronic House). Their music is best known for its colorful and deep bass-lines, friendly melodies, and bouncy/percussive innovative beats. These two minds are considered to be amongst the most talented musicians and DJ/Producers in the electronic music scene. Together, with their minimalistic grooves, have accomplished to catch everyone s attention, creating even stronger beats with the dance floor s funky vibrations.
This duo had been releasing tracks w/ Dialtone Recs, Raccoon Records from Mexico & Fanfare from Bulgary.
They have shared booths with Djs like Mr.C (Poker Flat, Superfreq), Underworld, Chris Fortier (Fade Records, NYC), M.A.N.D.Y (Get Phisical, Berlin), Damian Lazarus (Get Phisical), Silver Surfer A.K.A Siopis (Mangali/Crosstown Rebels) Worthy & Christian Martin (Dirty Bird), Dave Seamen, Lee Foss (Wolf+Lamb), Steve Lawler (Viva Music) just to mention a few.

Este proyecto inició en el 2007 en una ciudad rodeada de montañas, Monterrey, México; cuando Luis Siller y Alex Galván decidieron fusionar sus mentes y plasmar sonidos de la naturaleza en un sonido electrónico, de ahí se dieron el nombre de Bioniq (que se forman a partir de las palabras " biología " y " electrónica "). Biónica (también conocida como biomimética, Biognosis, biomimética, o la ingeniería de la creatividad bionical) es la aplicación de métodos y sistemas biológicos encontrados en la naturaleza con el estudio y diseño de ingeniería de sistemas y la tecnología moderna . Bioniq Cree que la gran fuente de su inspiración es la mezcla de la naturaleza, sonidos industriales que los rodean y la esencia del mundo, por lo tanto, consideran que la naturaleza es inspiracion, a si mismo pasan mucho de su tiempo escuchando y analizando la mezcla de sonidos de la naturaleza y la industria .
Este dúo fue anteriormente conocido como Bad Apples (2004), cuya música mezclaba sutiles sonidos del jazz con funky beats electrónicos, lo que hace de su música la combinación perfecta de un sentimiento cálido y notas expresivas. Al paso del tiempo fueron evolucionando a su propio estilo (que algunos han llamado Experimental ID Techno House Music). Su música es conocida por sus coloridas y profundas líneas de bajo, melodías amistosas, y ritmos innovadores. Alex y Luis son consideradas unos de los más talentosos DJ / productores en la escena de música electrónica. Juntos, con su toque minimalista, han logrado capturar la atención de todo el mundo , y su creación de ritmos es incluso más fuerte con las vibraciones de la pista de baile.

En Barcelona tenían una residencia en el aclamado Icebarcelona. con el Colectivo Deligh Digital.
